Tiffany & Cory are just some of the sweetest laid back couples you could meet. I’m so glad we got to document their day, because it almost didn’t happen. We had a last minute cancelation and boom here we are. I tell you though, I really enjoyed their interaction with each other. It made things go ultra smooth. They also opted to do a first look; which I highly recommend. It allows you to see your new life partner in a more intimate way before you are just at the alter and have to follow protocol. But you know, that’s how your  wedding should be; stress free and laid back… right? So yeah the day was amazing, just check it out:

Brunch Wedding at the Capital City Club- Montgomery, AL

 

Hey there! I know it has been so long since you’ve seen a new post from us. But I promise this will be a treat.

The first time I met Shane and Cheryl in person was at their engagement session. I know I know… very unconventional right? Cheryl booked us over the phone, and I was honored that she trusted our team enough without having met in person. But nevertheless our personalities just clicked. So I knew we would have an awesome time at their wedding. They had a lovely midday Saturday wedding at the beautiful Capital City Club in downtown Montgomery, AL. The day was filled with elegant vintage flare. Not to mention they had a BRUNCH reception. I absolutely love brunch weddings, and their’s was so laid back and fun! Don’t believe me? Just take a look:

James + Bertranna | Ashford Manor Wedding

Bertranna and James are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. It was a pure joy photographing their vintage styled wedding in at Ashford Manor. Alex + Richard {Wedding 2013}

So yeah…everything about this wedding…yeah! This wedding was nothing short of amazing! Brides, this is why I suggest hiring a planner! It really helps to have someone that can take your vision and help organize the small details. Okay … so let me back-up. When I first met Alex and Richard I was thinking, “who are these beautiful people?”; our styles and personalities immediately clicked. I couldn’t help but notice how much in love they were. It was refreshing! Although we had some hick-ups with the engagement session (stupid RAIN), where we had to do the engagement session over two days, the wedding was spectacularly beautiful. I can honestly say I am extremely excited for this power couple. Well… enough of my random thoughts… just look that the pictures for yourself:

Normally I would have some long narrative, but I will say these 3 things about this AMAZING WEDDING and let the photos speak for themselves:

• It was simply an  incredible wedding!

Brandon + Betty {Engagement Session}

We’re so excited about Brandon and Betty’s Wedding this weekend! Check out their engagement session we did last spring! They are so in love!

{BOOM! A 4th of July Wedding!} |Chandra + Jason

Sometimes everything just lines up and BOOM, you have an extraordinary wedding! This is one of those times. From the beautiful location to the beautiful people; everything was wonderful. Chandra had been following our work since Lori was in optometry school and she told me back then ” when I get married, I want you to shoot my wedding”. Well last year we were overjoyed to hear that Chandra was getting married and her & Jason decided to have a destination beach 4th of July wedding in Jacksonville, Fl.  Yeah, as you can probably guessed there was plenty of BOOM to go around! 

The lovely character laden Casa Marina was the perfect backdrop for this awesome affair. Since Chandra lives and runs her optometry practice (River City Vision Center) in Jacksonville there was no better place! I loved the decor and especially the favors they gave; a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of Jason’s mother. We really had a great time and they did too! Hope you enjoy! 

Sneak Peek: Alex + Richard Wedding at Autumn Ridge

Alex and Richard had such a wonderful wedding at Autumn Ridge. Becky of Becky’s Brides planned and coordinated everything. We just wanted to share a snippet of this beautiful affair. Stay tuned for the full blog post coming soon!  

Alex + Richard {Engaged} Birmingham, AL

Quote: “Things don’t always go as planned … but that’s okay!” That was definitely true when we set out plans for Alex and Richard’s Engagement session. But let me back up a bit.

When we first met these two we were overjoyed with Alex’s beauty and Richard’s debonaire style.  Alex …(or was it Richard) told us that she wanted “A gone with the wind fabulous” engagement session. As we chuckled over the “gone with the wind fabulous” Real Housewife of Atlanta  personality (whose name shall remain nameless on this blog lol), I began to brainstorm where should we go for this look. Then the light bulb went off: Woodrow Hall came to mind. So I called up Brittany Bell at Woodrow Hall (which is an excellent wedding venue by the way) and she said we could do our session there. Yes, score! So fast forward to the day of the shoot.

Boy did it rain and pour and rained some more! The original plan was to do some inside shots (which turned out great) and outdoor natural light shots.  We got the indoor images at Woodrow, but  we could not finish the shoot. So for the first time in NowVision Photography history we rescheduled the second part of the session a month later! But it sure was a blessing that we did! As you can clearly see below. The moral of the story is: “Things don’t always go as planned … but that’s okay… it might turn out better!”

Justin + Brittany {Wedding} |Huntsville, Al

Brittany and Justin are nothing short of amazing individuals. So it was no surprise that their wedding would be just as amazing! During the planning process we often connect with our clients to see what they like and their style. It was evident that they had a knack for tasteful modern… I mean just check out their engagement session <—(click over there to see those) We knew the wedding was going to be truly an event to remember!

The ceremony took place outdoors at Big Springs Park in Huntsville and the reception was at the Von Braun Center. Calandra of “An Event to Remember” coordinated everything so eloquently. She is great to work with! Josh of Modern Innovation Productions captured some amazing cinema. Sylvia of Pro MakeUp Artist Studio did jaw-dropping makeup for Brittany. We truly believe these two should be on the cover of Essence or Ebony, they are absolutely beautiful inside and out! Don’t you agree?:
